Q: What’s the gimmick, why are your prices so low?
A: There is no gimmick. All great businesses run on one simple model; provide a high quality good or service for a reasonable price and success will come. Somehow, this theory bypassed the world of professional photography and I decided to take advantage of it.
Q: What does your $399 fee cover?
A: My $399 fee covers up to seven hours of wedding day coverage by one photographer, a free online album to share with your friends, an on-site engagement portrait session, and photoshop post-postproduction work on your photos.
Q: What if I want to book you for more than seven hours?
A: If your wedding runs a few minutes over no big deal, but if you want to book additional time I simply charge $60 per hour.
Q: Are your photos high quality?
A: Judge for yourself and take a look at my portfolio. I feel my photos are just as good if not better than the guys charging ten times as much and my clients agree. I shoot with only the best professional level digital SLR cameras.
Q: Why do you not have package prices?
A: Packages are the old way of doing business. It’s a system to get you to spend more money upfront for products you probably don’t want anyway- $3,000 usually gets you the photographer for a day, a proof book, a small album, and a few prints with most photographers. Why would you commit to buy something when you haven’t seen the finished product? I don’t do business this way. I allow you the flexibility to pick and choose what products you want after you see your finished photos. If you want to buy the negatives and produce your own prints, it’s your choice. If you want to buy prints and a professionally designed album I can do that too. I want to make sure you get what you want, at an affordable price, when you want it, and I give you up to one year after your event to decide.
Q: Do you offer package discounts?
A: I do offer discounts on larger purchases. Get in touch with me, and I will put together a quote for you.
Q: Do you use professional Equipment?
Yes. Just because my prices are low, doesn’t mean I cut corners on equipment. I use Canon professional digital SLR Equipment and external flash technology. I also use a wide array of professional quality lenses ranging from wide angle 18mm up to 300mm telephoto. And I use photoshop pro CS3 software to process your digital negatives. 
Q: Where are you located?
A: I am located in the Northern Virginia DC Metro Area. No I am not the Paul Barnett from Southern California ;)
Q: What areas do you service?
A: I primarily work in the DC metro region (DC, VA, and MD) – anything within forty or fifty miles of Fairfax is in my normal range. I will travel for a reasonable fee (contact me for a quote).  
Q: Are you experienced?
A: I have been involved in the arts and photography since I was a child. I remember my father teaching me about aperture, film types, and shutter speed when I was only eight years old. In the decades since then, my love for photography has grown. I have been shooting weddings off and on for many years now and have progressed to shooting around 35 to 40 weddings year mostly from referral business.
Q: Do you offer other photography services?
A: Yes I do head shots, family portraits, pet portraits, senior portraits, sports photography, commercial photography, event photos, etc. You name it, I probably do it.
